Nemesis Reborn Marketing - Lighting Designer

Working with marketing and our scenic teams to come up with an immersive way of changing a conference centre into a full show for our VIP guests was a great challenge. Playing to the storyline and using theatrical light to make a sinister conference at the start but for a twist when the guests return.

During the period when guests left to try the new attraction, we changed the design of the room to look like the Nemesis monster has attacked. This included truss towers pushed over with cold sparks and pyros being set off next to lighting fixtures to look like electrical faults. Guests took a different route into the building with lighting and smoke effects to give the impression that behind the scenes backstage areas had also been affected by the attack. Fake emergency lights were converted to 24v and programmed to strobe as guests enter. Fake ducting pipes placed in the truss where then cut to be left hanging over tables with smoke pouring out of them adding to the chaos of the second half of the evening.

All this made for a memorable evening for the VIP press event of Nemesis Reborn.
